CEPLAS RNASeq Workshop 2022

  • Prerequisites
    • Technical
      • Computers incl. required software and course material are provided during the course.
      • Participants can bring own laptops, but without guarantee (possible system-specific dependencies)
    • Expertise
      • Some pre-knowledge in programming may help, but is not required.
      • First (half) day will be an optional introduction.

Topics (preliminary)

  • [Optional, if needed] Basic introduction to tools and programming (e.g. with Linux/Bash, R, Python)

  • Introduction to read processing and quality control

  • Introduction to read mapping and quantification

  • Long and short reads

    • Transcriptome assembly
  • Post-mapping analysis

    • Differential gene expression
    • Clustering
    • Functional annotation and enrichment
    • Visualization

  • CEPLAS researchers of all levels

  • Open to non-CEPLAS researchers, if max. participant number is not reached

  • Registration phase: June 27th - July 20th

  • Topic wishlist: If you would like to learn about specific topics or tools related to RNA-Seq data analysis, please raise them during the registration.

  • Basic Intro: Please let us know your programming expertise and wether you interested in a basic introduction to programming.
