NGSAppetizerCourse

This repository contains the script for the course NGSappetizer that is part of the Master module Plant Genetics at the Botanical Institute of the University of Cologne. The course is held by Franziska Turck from the Max Planck Insitute of Plant Breeding Research at the University of Cologne.

Getting started

The actual script is a quarto file that can be nicely visualized in RStudio or VS-code. For a start, download the file named Script.qmd and the Figures folder and save them locally to your computer. Make sure that the Figures folder is a direct subfolder of where you have saved the script, otherwise the figures are not recognized.

You can also visualize the script here by selecting the script.md file. Quarto and the Markdown used in gitlab follow almost the same rules, unfortunately not 100%; thus some tables to not render o.k.

The data folder contains data that we try to generate during the course. If we do not quite manage for some reason, we will use these data. At the moment, do not download them.
