# CEPLAS RNASeq Workshop 2022
## Key dates
- **Date**: August 22-24, 2022

- **Prerequisites**
- Technical
- Computers incl. required software and course material are provided during the course.
- Participants *can* bring own laptops, but without guarantee (possible system-specific dependencies)
- Expertise
- Some pre-knowledge in programming may help, but is not required.
- First (half) day will be an optional introduction.

- Introduction to read processing and quality control
- Introduction to read mapping and quantification
- Long and short reads
- Transcriptome assembly
- Post-mapping analysis

- Functional annotation and enrichment
- Visualization
## Registration

- CEPLAS researchers of all levels
- Open to non-CEPLAS researchers, if max. participant number is not reached
- min. / max. participants: 10 / 20
- **Registration phase**: June 27th - July 20th
- **Topic wishlist**: If you would like to learn about specific topics or tools related to RNA-Seq data analysis, please raise them during the registration.
- **Basic Intro**: Please let us know your programming expertise and wether you interested in a basic introduction to programming.
