Expression of drought responsive genes

Based on the results of the RNA-Seq analysis of R. nigrum, genes responsive to the drought stress treatment were selected for validation of their expression in leaves and roots of adult plants and leaves in young plants by qRT-PCR. A total of 13 differentially expressed genes, comprising 6 upregulated and 7 downregulated genes in leaf tissue of adult plants were selected for the measurement.
